Descendants of Jewish refugees rediscover Shanghai family memories during museum's temporary closure

The Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum is to reopen to the public on May 14 after a temporary 8-day shut down in preparation for a half-year restoration of the Ohel Moshe Synagogue. Visitors, who missed the news, still arrived to see the exhibitions. Some even traveled from overseas to Shanghai to rediscover their families' memories of sheltering in the city. Acknowledging that, the museum opened the door to them.
