The event's discourse delved into policy, market dynamics, and technology, shaping the industry's future. Through speeches and dialogues, it established a platform, enabling Chinese enterprises to articulate perspectives, fostering global communication, and unveiling cutting-edge consumer electronics achievements annually. Zou Yonghong, Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco, highlighted the forum's alignment with global consumer electronics trends and Sino-US cooperation interests.

CES 2024 highlighted the theme of artificial intelligence phones. Counterpoint Research projected generative AI smartphone shipments to surpass 100 million units that year, with a substantial surge to over 500 million units by 2027, boasting an impressive compound annual growth rate of 83%. Liu Chun, VP of the China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronics, emphasized the positive role of Sino-U.S. local cooperation, recognized by the heads of state in their meeting last year.
Qualcomm's CEO, Cristiano Amon, highlighted the transformative impact of integrating automatically generated AI into mobile devices. At the time, leading phone brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO were incorporating AI based on large-scale language models. Samsung's Galaxy S24 series was set to introduce the dedicated AI service, Galaxy AI. A Chinese secretariat of the joint working group aimed to promote non-governmental exchanges and local cooperation between China and the U.S., envisioning the event as a new project for the Chamber of Commerce to foster non-governmental exchanges and provincial/state cooperation between the two countries.
President Liu presented the CES exhibition group curated by the Chamber of Commerce, featuring over 130 companies spanning electronics, home appliances, smart homes, smart travel, and instrumentation. Notably, this marks the 23rd occasion that the China Chamber of Commerce in Mechanical and Electrical Commerce has orchestrated a group participation in the CES exhibition.
